Platform Engineering · Repeatable infrastructure delivery

IaC & CI/CD Accelerator.

Put infrastructure changes through a consistent, reviewable path from pull request to controlled deployment.

Indicative timeline
2–3 weeks for a representative IaC pattern and its delivery workflow, subject to access and approval lead times.
Investment approach
Quoted against the agreed module, environment and pipeline boundary. Third-party tooling, licenses and cloud consumption are separate.

01 · Business challenge

The problem this package addresses

Copied templates, manual portal changes and inconsistent deployment identities make infrastructure harder to reproduce and review. This accelerator creates a working delivery path for an agreed infrastructure pattern and demonstrates how teams can extend it safely.

02 · What you get

Defined technical outcomes

  • Reusable Terraform or Bicep components for the selected infrastructure pattern.
  • A CI/CD workflow with formatting, validation, plan or preview, approval and deployment stages as agreed.
  • A sample consumer workflow showing how a workload team uses the shared pattern.
  • Ownership, versioning, upgrade and operational guidance for the implemented code and pipeline.

03 · Scope of work

Work included

  • Define the supported workload pattern, inputs, outputs, environment boundaries and exception process.
  • Build or improve selected IaC modules and establish repository structure, versioning and validation conventions.
  • Implement the agreed pipeline stages, authentication model, policy checks and environment promotion controls.
  • Run a representative deployment, document the consumer path and pair with the team on maintenance and extension.

04 · Acceptance

How completion is reviewed

Final acceptance checks are agreed in the statement of work before implementation. Typical checks include:

  • A sample infrastructure change can be reviewed, validated and deployed through the agreed workflow.
  • The pipeline uses the approved identity and records its validation and deployment results.
  • Module inputs, ownership, versioning and consumer instructions are documented and handed over.

05 · Delivery process

From discovery to handover

  1. DiscoverConfirm the target users, workload boundary, dependencies and acceptance conditions.
  2. DesignAgree the architecture decisions, delivery sequence, access model and implementation plan.
  3. Build and validateImplement the scoped work in the client environment and review it against the agreed checks.
  4. Hand overTransfer code, documentation, runbooks and ownership to the client team.

06 · Technical foundation

Tools and architecture

Terraform and provider-specific IaC such as Bicep or CloudFormation; CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or GitLab CI; pull-request validation, plan or what-if review, workload identity federation, policy-as-code, secret boundaries and release approvals.
