Cloud Foundation · Workload modernization

Cloud Modernization Sprint.

Modernize one selected application or workload with a defined target pattern, repeatable deployment path and practical operational handover.

Indicative timeline
2–4 weeks for one workload and a bounded modernization path. Application complexity, approvals and external dependencies can change the schedule.
Investment approach
Quoted after workload discovery and confirmation of whether implementation, migration execution and cutover support are included. Cloud consumption and vendor licensing are separate.

01 · Business challenge

The problem this package addresses

A broad modernization program can stall when teams try to solve every workload and platform dependency at once. This sprint narrows the work to one candidate workload, confirms the target approach, and implements a representative path that can inform later waves.

02 · What you get

Defined technical outcomes

  • A workload assessment with dependencies, constraints, risks and target-state decisions.
  • A documented modernization path for the selected workload and its deployment environment.
  • Infrastructure and delivery changes for the agreed workload boundary, where included in scope.
  • A cutover and rollback plan, validation notes and operational handover for the implemented path.

03 · Scope of work

Work included

  • Select one workload and review its runtime, dependencies, data stores, network paths and operational constraints.
  • Choose an agreed modernization pattern such as rehosting, managed-service adoption or containerization; record trade-offs.
  • Implement the required target infrastructure and deployment workflow using the agreed IaC and toolchain.
  • Validate deployment and workload behavior against the agreed checks, then prepare cutover, rollback and support steps.

04 · Acceptance

How completion is reviewed

Final acceptance checks are agreed in the statement of work before implementation. Typical checks include:

  • The selected workload follows the documented deployment path in the target environment.
  • The agreed smoke, connectivity and operational checks are recorded with results and known limitations.
  • The cutover and rollback approach identifies owners, prerequisites and decision points.

05 · Delivery process

From discovery to handover

  1. DiscoverConfirm the target users, workload boundary, dependencies and acceptance conditions.
  2. DesignAgree the architecture decisions, delivery sequence, access model and implementation plan.
  3. Build and validateImplement the scoped work in the client environment and review it against the agreed checks.
  4. Hand overTransfer code, documentation, runbooks and ownership to the client team.
